Terms of service

1. Agreement to these terms

Welcome to Book to Kids (the "Site"), operated by RunEarn LLC ("we", "our", "us", or the "Company"), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.

By browsing, creating an account, or purchasing from booktokids.com, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Replacement Policy and Shipping Policy, each incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility and parental authority

Adults only. Purchases on this Site are restricted to adults aged 18 or over, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

Authority over a child's data. By uploading a photograph, name, age or other detail relating to a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have the express permission of their parent or legal guardian to submit it.

3. Personalisation, previews and your submissions

3.1 Accuracy of what you submit

You are responsible for the accuracy and spelling of the text you enter and for the quality of the photograph you upload.

Before payment is taken, we show you a preview of your child's cover so you can check it. After ordering, and before the book goes to press, you may ask us to re-illustrate up to three pages under our Love-It Guarantee.

Beyond the preview and the on-screen guidance shown during upload, we are not obliged to proofread names, verify pronouns, or assess whether a photograph will reproduce well in print.

3.2 How your book is illustrated

Your child's illustrations are created from the photograph you upload using our own automated illustration system, which combines original artwork and story designs commissioned by us with AI-assisted rendering.

3.3 Content you may not upload

You agree not to upload any photograph or text that:

  • Infringes the intellectual property, copyright, trademark or privacy rights of anyone else
  • Is obscene, pornographic, defamatory, hateful, abusive, violent or otherwise unlawful
  • Depicts a child you are not authorised to submit

We may refuse or cancel any order containing such content, and will refund you in full where we do.

4. Intellectual property

The storylines, illustrations, designs, software, interface and Book to Kids branding on this Site are the property of RunEarn LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law.

4.1 Your licence

When you buy a personalised book, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to keep, read, display and share that physical book with your family. It is yours to enjoy.

4.2 What you may not do

  • Reproduce, scan or distribute the illustrations or text for commercial resale or public display
  • Use our artwork, characters or text to train machine learning, generative art or artificial intelligence systems

Photographing your child with their book and sharing it on social media is entirely welcome and is not restricted by this section.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars unless a local currency is displayed, and may change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout.

Payment methods. We process payments through Shopify Payments and the other providers offered at checkout, which may include PayPal and accelerated wallets such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. By paying, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method you have chosen.

Taxes and duties. Any sales tax, VAT or customs charge applied in your delivery country is your responsibility as the recipient.

6. Liability

Except as set out in our Refund and Replacement Policy and as required by law, the Site and our products are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RunEarn LLC and its partners are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the order the claim relates to.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for faulty goods under applicable consumer protection law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and any legal proceedings will be brought in the state or federal courts of Wyoming.

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection law, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

8. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in force. These terms, together with the policies referenced in section 1, form the entire agreement between you and the Company.
